Starward Vitalis is a limited-release single malt whisky produced by Starward Distillery in Melbourne, Australia. The whisky is crafted using 100% Australian barley, which is locally sourced and malted. The barley is then mashed, fermented, and distilled in copper pot stills, using Starward's unique double-distillation process.

After distillation, the whisky is matured in a selection of casks, including ex-red wine, American oak, and Hungarian oak barrels, which impart distinct flavors and aromas to the whisky. The use of red wine barrels is particularly noteworthy, as it is a hallmark of Starward's signature style.

Vitalis is a blend of single malt whiskies aged between six and ten years, with a unique addition of Australian shiraz wine barrels added to the mix. The result is a complex and rich whisky with notes of ripe berries, dark chocolate, and vanilla, along with a subtle hint of spice from the oak.
