Poor Toms Imbroglio Amaro is a delicious, complex and well-balanced spirit from Australia. It is made using a blend of 25 herbs, spices, and botanicals, including gentian root, wormwood, rhubarb, orange peel, and chamomile, which are macerated in neutral grain spirit for several weeks. The resulting infusion is then blended with pure Australian honey, and rested in oak barrels for several months to create a smooth and mellow finish.
The amaro has a deep, rich amber color and aromas of warm spices, citrus peel, and honey. On the palate, it is initially sweet, with notes of caramel and honey, followed by a complex blend of bitter herbs and spices, and a long, warming finish.
