Penfolds Bin 149 Cabernet Sauvignon Gift Boxed 2021 750ml is a landmark wine marrying South Australian cabernet savour with the intensity of Napa Valley fruit. A bold, world-class expression crafted from approximately 91% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Cabernet Franc, matured in French and American oak. This deep-coloured and concentrated vintage opens with ripe dark fruit—black cherry, blueberry and mulberry—layered with subtle savoury undertones of pressed leather, olive tapenade and dark chocolate. On the palate it is full-bodied with firm fine-grained tannins, oaked richness, and a long finish that hints at espresso and panforte. At 14.5% ABV and beautifully gift-boxed, it makes an ideal choice for collectors or special occasions with ageing potential into the 2040s.
