Hennessy XO is a premium Cognac produced by Hennessy, one of the largest Cognac houses in the world. XO stands for "Extra Old," indicating that the youngest eau-de-vie in the blend has been aged in oak barrels for at least 10 years.
Hennessy XO is made from a blend of more than 100 different eaux-de-vie, with the oldest being over 30 years old. The Cognac is aged in French oak barrels, which impart flavors of vanilla, oak, and spices, while the eaux-de-vie provide rich fruit notes, including apricot and figs.
This Cognac has a rich amber color and a complex aroma, with notes of dried fruits, leather, and spice. On the palate, it is velvety and full-bodied, with flavors of dark chocolate, toffee, and cinnamon. The finish is long and luxurious, with a gentle warmth and lingering notes of oak and fruit.
