Dictador 12 Year Old Rum is a unique expression hailing from Colombia, combining the rich history of the country's rum production with innovative aging techniques. Made from the fermentation of virgin sugar cane honey and distilled partly in copper alembic and partly in steel continuous column, the rum is aged using a solera system, where younger rums are blended with older ones. This particular expression boasts a deep amber hue, and on the nose, it reveals a symphony of toffee, roasted honey, and a hint of oak. The palate is equally complex with notes of coffee, vanilla cream, and a touch of tropical fruit, leading to a rich, rounded finish.
