Description
Bumbu Rum is a unique Caribbean spirit inspired by the original 16th and 17th-century 'Bumbu' made by sailors of the West Indies. It is handcrafted in small batches at a historic Barbadian distillery founded in 1893.
Bumbu Rum is made using sugarcane sourced from eight different countries across the Caribbean and South America. It is fermented with a proprietary yeast strain and distilled using two continuous stills. The rum is then matured in grade-A, once-used Kentucky bourbon barrels for up to 15 years, giving it a distinctive and rich flavor.
On the palate, Bumbu Rum presents complex notes of soft caramel, ripe banana, and sweet tropical fruits, underpinned by delicate vanilla and warming spices. The finish is exceptionally smooth, reflecting its extended aging process.
