Description
Brookie's Byron Dry Gin is a small-batch gin produced in the Byron Bay region of New South Wales, Australia. It is made by the Brook family, who are passionate about crafting spirits using native Australian botanicals. The gin is made using 26 different botanicals, including several native to the Byron Bay region such as Byron Sunrise Finger Limes, Aniseed Myrtle, and Native River Mint. Other botanicals include juniper berries, coriander seed, cinnamon, and cardamom.
The gin is distilled in a custom-made copper pot still using a combination of maceration and vapour infusion techniques. This process allows the delicate flavours of the botanicals to be extracted and retained, resulting in a smooth and balanced gin.
Brookie's Byron Dry Gin has a unique flavour profile that is both floral and citrusy, with notes of finger lime, aniseed myrtle, and native river mint. It is a versatile gin that can be enjoyed on its own over ice, or in a variety of cocktails. The gin has won several awards, including a gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2018.
